Lise Maclean, MBA, CHRL

Lise is a highly experienced and effective human resources professional with 20 years of experience in the public, not-for-profit, and private sectors.  A passionate continuous learner, Lise holds a BA from the University of Western Ontario, an MBA from the University of Ottawa, a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation, as well as certifications in workplace investigations and Prosci change management. She is bilingual in English and French.

 

Lise rose through the ranks of a large, unionized organization, beginning as a secretary and leaving as a director responsible for human resources, strategic planning and back office functions.  She taught as a professor at the Telfer School of Management and served as HR Director for a global not-for-profit with staff in ten countries. She is a member of the professional standards committee of the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario.

 

Lise established the Ottawa-based HR consulting firm, Wiser Workplaces, in 2011, and relocated it to Southwestern Ontario in 2016.  She provides exceptional on-demand HR services for organizations of all sizes.  Very client-oriented, Lise switches seamlessly from practical “in the weeds” support to “big picture” strategic advice. She tailors her advice and services to the operational realities and budget of each of her clients.

Lise recharges her batteries by spending time with her family, playing clarinet in a community band, and hiking.
